Hamba is a creator marketplace for hotel and travel stays. Creators get premium hosted stays plus any clearly stated performance bonus, hotels get rights-cleared content, and Hamba verifies social-content performance.
For Creators
What is Hamba?
Hamba connects creators with hotels and travel properties. You get a hosted stay, create the agreed content in your own voice, and the hotel receives the usage rights set out in the collaboration terms.
Is it really free for creators?
Yes. Hamba never charges creators for a stay, a listing, or access to the platform. Hotels cover the stay and any platform fees described in their agreement.
How do I get a stay?
Two ways. You can browse open stays and apply to ones that fit you. Or you can request a city, destination, or specific hotel and Hamba can work to match you with a host there. The host approves the collaboration before the stay moves forward.
Do I need a minimum following?
No universal minimum. Hotels can set requirements for individual stays, and fit matters alongside audience size and recent performance.
How am I rewarded?
The hosted stay is the base reward. Some collaborations can also include a clearly stated views-based performance bonus. The terms are shown before you accept the collaboration.
Can I use the stay to shoot my own brand deals?
Yes, unless the specific collaboration terms say otherwise. The content you owe the host is the content agreed for that stay.
Who owns the content?
You keep ownership of what you create. The host receives the usage rights described in the collaboration terms. Other content you create remains yours unless you separately agree otherwise.
What is the promotional code?
Approved collaborations receive a unique promotional code. During the private pilot, the code gives the hotel and Hamba a consistent reference for the collaboration. Hamba does not yet automatically connect that code to a hotel booking engine or independently attribute booking revenue.
What performance does Hamba verify?
For supported connected social accounts, Hamba can verify performance on submitted Instagram and TikTok content, including available post metrics. Any booking or revenue figures shown during the pilot are hotel reported and are labelled that way.
How and when do I get paid?
If a collaboration includes a cash performance bonus, the applicable terms and payment process are agreed for that collaboration. Hamba does not currently provide an automated creator payout wallet or profile payout method.
What is expected of me on a stay?
Deliver the content agreed in the collaboration, on time and at the required quality standard. Submit the exact supported social post URLs so Hamba can verify content performance, and respect the property and host.
A note on paid boosting
Hamba may offer optional paid boosting in the future. It is not part of the current private-pilot product unless explicitly agreed for a specific collaboration.
For Hotels
What is Hamba?
Hamba helps hotels run creator stays with a structured workflow: list a stay, approve creators, agree deliverables and usage rights, receive the content, and review verified social-content performance.
What does it cost?
You provide the agreed hosted stay and pay any platform fee in your Hamba agreement. Pilot commercial terms can vary by partner and are confirmed directly rather than assumed from this FAQ.
How are creators vetted and approved?
Hamba reviews creator accounts and you approve the creators for your own stays. No creator is treated as approved for your collaboration until the relevant approval step is complete.
What content do I get and what are the usage rights?
You receive the content agreed in the collaboration, with the usage rights defined in the accepted terms. The rights are set out before the creator participates.
How are bookings and revenue handled during the pilot?
Hamba does not yet have a PMS or booking-engine integration that automatically attributes bookings or dollars to a creator. Each approved collaboration receives a unique promotional code. If you report redemptions or revenue to Hamba during the pilot, those figures are stored as hotel reported, with the reporting source and time recorded.
How do I list a property or run a collaboration?
List your property, set the stay and creator requirements, review applicants, approve the right creators, and receive their submitted content and verified social performance.
What results should I expect?
Hamba reports the social-content performance it can verify from supported platforms. Outcomes vary by property, creator and collaboration. Booking or revenue figures are not presented as automatically attributed unless Hamba later adds a real conversion integration.
For Brands
How do brands work with Hamba?
Brands can sponsor creator travel collaborations. Hamba can match the brief to relevant creators and stays and report supported content performance. Self-serve brand tooling remains limited during the private pilot.
What does a brand get?
The deliverables and usage rights agreed for the sponsored collaboration, plus supported social-content performance reporting. Hamba does not currently promise automated booking-revenue attribution for brand sponsorships.
